Candle Safety

Light your candles with love and caution.
  1. Always follow the instructions printed on the label at the bottom of the candle.
  2. Trim the candle wick to (1/4 inch) or 5-7 mm before lighting the candle, each time.
  3. Always burn in a well-ventilated room.
  4. Use caution with glass candleholders, do not move while burning as they can get too hot too touch.
  5. Do not touch or move a candle when liquid.
  6. Always use candleholders specifically designed for candle use. The holder should be heat resistant, sturdy, and large enough to contain any drips or melted wax. Be sure the candleholder is placed on a stable, heat-resistance surface.
  7. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris at all times.
  8. Keep burning candles away from materials that may catch fire (clothing, paper, curtains, decorations, plants).
  9. Keep burning candles out of reach of children, and pets.
  10. Make sure your children understand the danger of fire, especially an open flame.
  11. Do not leave burning candles unattended.
  12. Extinguish all candles before leaving the room or going to sleep.
  13. The safest way to extinguish a candle is by using a candle snuffer.
